Spirit Moto Corsa achieved a first double podium finish in Saturday’s Sprint Race at Thruxton, as Jamie Perrin took a well-earned second place and Mason Law brought home third.
After qualifying third in class, Jamie was a comfortable second in GP2 from the third lap onwards. However, he had a very entertaining battle with the leading two Supersport bikes (Bradley Perie and Lee Johnston) throughout the race as they fought for an overall top three finish.
The Kettering rider put up both a sturn defence and fierce attack at different stages of the race, but ultimately crossed the line fourth as he prioritised cementing twenty points in GP2.
Mason was also very secure in his GP2 podium spot but had to contend with a pack of Supersport bikes around him. He ended up at the head of his group to take eighth overall.
Sunday sees Warm Up at 11:05 and the Feature Race (live on Quest) at 15:40.
